COVID-19 Updates

Published on April 27, 2020 in Announcements

With Gov. Jared Polis’s new Safer-at-Home order, the ban on elective procedures has been lifted. This means veterinary hospitals are now able to resume elective procedures again, which includes but is not limited to spay and neuter surgeries. These changes will be made effective today, Monday, April 27th.

The health and well-being of your pet and family at Indian Peaks Veterinary Hospital is of the utmost importance to us. We are taking proper precautions to keep patients, clients, and hospital staff safe such as:

  • Increasing the frequency of our cleaning practices.
  • Performing curbside appointments in order to keep our clients and staff safe and to observe the social distancing recommendations. When you arrive at the hospital, please call 303-938-9474 so we can obtain patient information from you. A staff member will call you to obtain your pet’s history and explain how the appointment will work. Your pet will be taken inside with a hospital leash and carrier if needed. We will ask you to keep all personal leashes and pet belongings with you. The doctor and staff member will continue to communicate with you via phone and will work with you to come up with the best plan for you and your pet. When the appointment is completed, the receptionist will receive payment over the phone.
  • Offering curbside pickups for prescriptions, food, and specimen drop-offs.
  • Offering telemedicine (phone, email, or video) consultations with your pet’s veterinarian or technician.
  • Utilizing our online pharmacy for prescription food and medication for home delivery: Indian Peaks Online Pharmacy

Please take advantage of these appointment and pickup options while we continue to care for your pet’s needs. If you are feeling ill, we ask that you please call us before traveling to the hospital, so we can either reschedule your appointment, or in the case of an emergency, provide information on what to do upon arrival at the hospital.
